This is just so exciting for me....to see the first rose bloom of the summer season! My husband bought this rose bush for me a couple of months ago,and I can't remember the exact name. Is it a hybrid tea rose? Whatever it is, it smells divine. I have a couple of books on roses to read, and have been on you tube. Watching videos on how to prune summer roses. Hope you enjoy your week-end doing whatever it is you like to do....see ya next time.
How wonderful:) I think you can use rose petals in tea, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd rose hips (the round bottom part under the flower) has lots of vitamin C, but I'm not sure how you are supposed to prepare it...there's probably an article on that somewhere on the web too.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful rose, Velvet!
Hi Velvet, it might be a Knockout Rose, it's gorgeous, how nice of your husband to think how to give more than a dozen!
